The world needs more Disciples

Now more than ever, the world needs people who are committed to being like Jesus and doing what He did. This doesn’t happen overnight. Becoming like Jesus takes dedicated time in the Bible, in prayer and in community. In a world that is more hectic than ever, we want to create a space where people can take the time needed to grow into Christ-likeness.

What's our plan?

Vision

Transforming Australia and the World by making disciples who bring the Kingdom of God into every area of human life and society.

We are making disciples by giving space for people to spend time with Jesus through sound Bible teaching, spiritual practices, community and kingdom work

We are convinced that discipleship to Jesus is the hope of the world. When Jesus left his disciples he told them to make disciples of all nations. If making disciples was Jesus' strategy to transform this world, we would be wise to do the same.

That is why we want to start a bible school - a space for people to come and be transformed by Jesus.

However, getting there will take some time. In the meantime, as we are working on getting the school up and running, we are creating resources to help you on your discipleship journey.

“The greatest issue facing the world today, with all its heartbreaking needs, is whether those who, by profession or culture, are identified as ‘Christians’ will become disciples – students, apprentices, practitioners – of Jesus Christ, steadily learning from him how to live the life of the Kingdom of the Heavens into every corner of human existence”
- Dallas Willard

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a Bible School and a Bible College?

A Bible college is primarily focused on academic education and on training and equipping Christian leaders for ministry. A Bible school is focused on the transformation of anyone who want to go deeper in their relationship with Jesus. Going to bible school usually doesn’t give you any academic credits, certificates or degrees. The sole focus is on transforming people into lifelong disciples of Jesus. We believe Bible colleges are important for training Christian leaders, missionaries and academics, but a Bible school is a better option for someone who wants to go deeper in their relationship with Jesus, no matter their vocational goals.

Will this be online or in person?

Our primary focus will be on starting an in person school, where students live together in community, learn together and develop deep relationships with each other. Living this way creates the optimal atmosphere for deep and lasting transformation.

We also know that many people are not able to do this due to their life circumstances, so we may create some online resources that people can engage with if enough people are interested.

Why start something new instead of partnering with something that already exists?

We love the work of other Bible schools, such as YWAM and Capernwray Australia, and we want to support them in any way we can, but there are a number of reasons why we want to start something new. The primary reason is that we think there is a lack of options for people who want to do a Bible school in Australia. Adding another option will make more people spend more time with Jesus, resulting in more disciples of Jesus doing more kingdom work. Our school will also include different aspects of Bible schools we know of.

How long will the school be, and what will a normal week look like?

Ideally we want the school to be around 9-10 months long, but this is subject to change depending on how much time people are willing to commit to the school. A normal week will include prayer and worship, Bible teachings and teachings on different topics, outreach in local ministries, social events, eating together and lots of time for of good conversations.
